Why You Should Care

We are all affected.

The World is Changing

Whether we like it or not, the world is changing.

The plastic is piling up. The drinkable water is running out. The air is getting more toxic.

Right now it may be easy to ignore, but the longer we let it happen the harder it will be to ignore the consequences of our actions. The longer we turn a blind eye, the harder it will be to reverse the pollution and overuse of clean air, water and land.

People are Being Affected

People are already being negatively impacted by our actions, and it won't be long before the effects catch up to us.

When our food sources die off because there is a shortage of clean water, we will be affected.

When our air becomes toxic and water levels rise, they will cover cities. New York city and Miami are vulnerable to rising sea levels, among many others.

Rising temperatures due to greenhouse gases will heat the planet, causing mass extinctions and destruction of some of the most unique and complex ecosystems we know of.

A simple choice to resell your clothing, buy a few less shirts or invest in eco-friendly garments, can dramatically decrease your carbon footprint. If we sustain these positive practices, in time we can make a huge difference in the quality of life for everyone on Earth.

We Can’t Ignore it

When we run out of space for landfills, where will we put our waste? Already, there’s the pacific garbage patch, an entire island made of trash.

There is still so much we don't know about our planet, from the oceans ecosystems to the unknown rain forest species and so much more. If our oceans are destroyed we will lose many possible medicines like Pseudopterosins that are extracted from the octocoral (sea whip), an anti-inflammatory  medicine.

There are cures to diseases hidden in the genetic makeup of plants and animals we can only dream of, but instead we are ravaging the planet before we have a chance to find them.
